Ron Schindelheim opened to 600,000 from the hijack and Josh Arieh three-bet all in for 2,170,000 from the button. The blinds folded and Schindelheim called.
Josh Arieh: 8?8?
Ron Schindelheim: A?J?
The eights were in the lead after the Q?6?4? flop and the 4? turn, but the A? came on the river to send the six-time champion to the rail in 14th place.
Life Outside Poker w/ Connor Richards is a new podcast for PokerNews that focuses on poker players with successful careers and lives outside of poker.
For the third episode, Connor spoke with high-stakes poker player, politician and entrepreneur Antanas "Tony G" Guoga. In the interview, Tony G spoke about growing up in Lithuania, founding PokerNews in the early 2000s, getting into European politics later in life and his favorite televised poker moments.
He also opened up about clashing with players like Phil Hellmuth in televised games and even issued a heads-up challenge to the Poker Brat. Will Hellmuth take him on, or is he, like Tony G said, "afraid to ever play me again?"
Ron Schindelheim raised in early position to 500,000 and Josh Arieh made the call in late position before Gary Leibovitz went all in for about 2,500,000.
Schindelheim folded and when it got back to Arieh he said, "Fuck, I should have shoved..." Arieh then said, annoyed at himself, "Joshua..." before he firmly put a call in.
Gary Leibovitz: A?J?
Josh Arieh: 9?10?
The board was no help to Arieh and his upward momentum was halted.
Cole Griffith raised in early position to 500,000 and it folded to the small blind Thibault Perissat who three bet all in for 1,815,000. Griffith asked for a count then made the call putting Perissat at risk.
Thibault Perissat: A?6?
Cole Griffith: A?9?
Perissat was dominated but after the 4?K?6? flop, it was not Griffith the one looking for help. The turn 3? and river Q? was clean for Perissat, who secured the double up.
