McNeil Spikes the Turn to Double Through Ho

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

With two players seeing a flop of A?5?9? and about 20,000 in the middle, Calen McNeil found himself all in for about 25,000 and was up against Maria Ho who had a covering stack.

Calen McNeil: 7?5?3?2? All in
Maria Ho: A?J?10?3?

Ho was ahead with top pair until the 4? turn gave McNeil both the nut-low and a wheel straight leaving Ho drawing virtually dead. After the K? river was dealt McNeil collected a full double up at Ho's expense.

"PokerNews Curse" Causes Kessler's Exit

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

The under-the-gun player made it 3,000, picking up calls from Eric Cloutier and Allen Kessler from the next seats over. The cutoff also called and Brian Ivy defended his big blind.

Action checked to Cloutier on the K?J?7? flop, and he bet 16,000.

Kessler started mulling over his options while mentioning his PokerNews curse.

"I can't fold this hand," he said as he jammed for 27,500. The cutoff shoved for around the same size. Action folded back to Cloutier, who called.

Cutoff: Q?10?XxXx All in
Allen Kessler: A?J?4?2? All in
Eric Cloutier: K?K?Q?9?

The A? turn and J? river saw Kessler make a full house, but Cloutier's king-full was superior, and he scored the double knockout.
