Day 2 of Event #16: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em Starts at 1 PM
The second day of Event #16: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed gets underway at 1 p.m. with 239 players left out of 660 entries, but with plenty of time (until 2 p.m.) for late registration for even more to jump in to grow the field larger.
The two stacks who lead the field by quite some margin both hail from the pacific northwest in Clemen Deng of Portland with 554,000 and Daniel Auckland from Seattle, who is right behind him with 540,000. They both have nearly 200,000 more than the third-largest stack which belongs to 2022 WSOP Main Event sixth place finisher Jeffrey Farnes, also from Oregon, who brings in 349,000.
In fourth place to start the day is one of the top players in the world, Bin Weng, with 343,500 after he had an eventful Day 1 and will be aiming to make yet another deep run in a big event.

Some of the notable players among the largest counts to start the day are Adam Hendrix with 334,500 and Barry Hutter (317,000), who are both in the top ten stacks.
Bulgarian crusher Krasimir Yankov (288,000) starts the day with the 16th biggest stack while high-rollers, Seth Davies (280,500), Stephen Chidwick (271,500) and Punnat Punsri (256,000) are also among the top 30 stacks to start the day.
There are many more big names left, almost too many to count, in this massive event which is a new addition to the 2024 WSOP as the big names and big hands will be rolling throughout Day 2.
Play resumes at 1 p.m. in Level 11 with blinds at 1,000/2,500. There is still one level of registration left for anyone wanting to take their shot and it is expected that many will take advantage of the late registration opportunity to make for an even larger and juicier field.
