Day 2 of Event #20: $300 Gladiators of Poker at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP)?saw the starting field of 757 combatants, reduced to just 14 warriors over the course of 17 levels of play at the?Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

Each one of those contenders is guaranteed a minimum of $20,820. The 20,647-player field created a prize pool of $5,079,162, where the eventual winner will be taking home $401,210 and the coveted WSOP bracelet

Topping the counts was Simon Britton of the United States with 67,100,000 chips. Britton has already had two cashes during this series and has surpassed his career-highest score with the current guaranteed prize in this event. He was down to just one big blind with three tables remaining after his pocket jacks were defeated in brutal fashion by Rami Hammoud's ace-nine suited. However, an outstanding comeback sees him sitting in pole position for the start of play tomorrow.

Coming second in chips with 64,975,000 is Stephen Winters. Winters eliminated seven-time bracelet winner Men Nguyen in 19th position after Nguyen went all in on the flop with a gutshot straight draw against Winters' flush draw. A diamond on the turn spelled the end for Nguyen.
