Brek Schutten opened to 15,000 from the cutoff before Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 48,000 from the small blind. WSOP Player of the Year Ian Matakis was in the big blind and reraised to 84,000. Schutten got out of the way and then Ponakovs called.
Ponakovs check-jammed for around 190,000 over a bet of 20,000 on the 8?6?3? flop. Matakis wasted little time in folding.
