A starting field of 248 hopefuls has been reduced to just ten going into Day 3 of Event #25: $3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-Handed inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. They will all be chasing the top prize of $148,635 resulting from a $662,160 prize pool. Daniel Vampan leads the pack after bagging up 2,470,000 last night, which is nearly a million more than his next-closest competitor Frank Yakubson, who ended with 1,840,000.
Also still in contention is Roland Israelashvili, who has the record for the most WSOP cashes ever with an incredible 500 cashes (after this event comes to a close) for a total of $3,937,284 earnings (plus whatever he wins today). Israelashvili, who has 11 Circuit gold rings, has had several close calls to winning a gold bracelet and looks to capture his first today.
