Welcome back to Day 2 of the 2024 World Series of Poker Event #25: $3,000 Limit Hold'em (6-Handed)!

After 10 levels were completed on the opening day, just 76 players bagged up chips and will be returning to the felt for Day 2. Leading the pack will be Brian Tate who finished Day 1 with an impressive 327,000 chips while the only other player to eclipse the 300,000 chip mark was Alex Keating with 306,000.

Although having a big stack in this type of event will certainly have its advantages, applying pressure with it is not the same as a no-limit event. Some other names to keep an eye on toward the top of the leaderboard include defending champ Jason Daly (265,000), recent and six-time WSOP bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (128,000), WSOP HoFer Phil Hellmuth (168,000), WSOP Main Event Winners Joe McKeehen and Koray Aldemir (154,000), Matt Glantz (125,000), and David ‘ODB’ Baker (193,000).

The action resumes at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday in the Horseshoe Event Center, where the players will continue to battle for the gold. Blinds will begin at 2,000/4,000 with limits at 4,000/8,000 and the plan is to complete ten levels, with a 15-minute break every two levels and a 1-hour dinner break after level 18.

The bubble is expected to burst at some point today with 38 players reaching the money. A min-cash in this event will be worth $6,024 but the lion's share of the $662,160 prize pool will be up for grabs when Day 3 rolls around. The winner will be taking home $148,635 along with the WSOP gold bracelet.

Keep it tuned in here as the PokerNews live reporting team will have all your live updates throughout the next couple of days en route to crowning a champion.
