Kurtz Climbs the Chip Counts
Back-to-back hands have seen Jeffrey Kurtz shoot up the counts with a stack of around 850,000.
In the first hand, a board of J?4?8?3?Q? had around 300,000 chips in it and Kurtz had shoved the river into Nicolas Vayssieres. After around two minutes, Kurtz called the clock on his opponent and during the 30-second countdown, Vayssieres folded.
The next hand that was dealt, John Szczypka raised to 31,000 from early position and Kurtz three-bet the button to 70,000, Szczypka called.
A flop of K?K?4? was fanned and Szczypka check-shoved all in for around 200,000 over Kurtz's bet, which Kurtz quickly called.
John Szczypka: A?Q?
Jeffrey Kurtz: K?9?
Szczypka was drawing dead by the turn as the 7?2? runout confirmed his elimination and Kurtz was pushed the pot.
