Bruschi, Volpe Both Show an Eight; Mercier a Lock For the HOF?
In a blind versus blind battle, Paul Volpe drew two and Renan Bruschi took three. Bruschi then bet and Volpe called.
Volpe drew two more and Bruschi one. Bruschi bet again and Volpe again called as he took one and Bruschi stood pat.
Bruschi bet and Volpe called once more as both players showed 8x7x4x3x2x to chop the pot.
While this hand was taking place, tablemates Allen Kessler and Jason Mercier were discussing the Poker Hall of Fame.
"You're a lock to get in," Kessler told Mercier.
"How am I going to get in if they only let in one person a year? There's going to be like 30 people eligible in the next two to three years. So many people are 37-38 right now," Mercier added, then calling out to John Monnette at another table as another possible future inductee.
