Stephen Scuderi Leads Pack into Day 2; Daniel Negreanu Hunting for Next Bracelet
Day 1 of Event #30: $600 Mixed No-Limit Hold'em & Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack at the 2024 World Series of Poker is in the books, with Stephen Scuderi as the chip leader with a massive stack of 2,200,000. Scuderi returns to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Day 2 tomorrow with every chance of bagging some poker gold.

This event churned out a whopping 3,351 entries (a huge uptick from last year��s 2,758) and players packed out both ballrooms at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas creating a prize pool of $1,709,010. By the end of the day, only 145 remained to play for the lion's share of the remaining prize pool, with $207,064 going to the winner, along with the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Other notables making it to Day 2 are Daniel Negreanu (960,000), Alex Livingston (655,000), and Kris Burchfield (295,000).
To lose that many players in such a short span of time, you can be sure there was a ton of action along the way. Some players that fell to the wayside include Adam Hendrix, Tyler Brown, Ryan Depaulo, Greg Raymer, and David Williams. Last year��s champ Scott Dulaney also hit the rail before making the money, but his wife Tia Dulaney is still in the mix with a stack of 455,000.
Action will resume on June 12 at 11 a.m. local time in the Horseshoe Event Center in the Silver and Bronze sections. Play will resume at Level 23 with blinds at 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante. The levels will also remain at 30 minutes in length with a 15-minute break every four levels.
