Steven Abitbol: Ax3x / 9x8x2x10x / 10x
Scott Seiver: 10x3x / 2x8x4x3x / 7x
Scott Seiver completed before Steven Abitbol raised. Seiver three-bet and Abitbol called. Fourth street saw Seiver bet, Abitbot raise, and Seiver call. On fifth street, Seiver check-called a bet. Sixth street saw Abitbol bet all in for his remaining short stack before Seiver called.
Seiver's eight-seven was enough to defeat Abitbol's nine-eight and eliminate him in ninth place.
Ingo Klasen: XxXx / 2x2xJx2x / Xx
Maxx Coleman: XxXx / 5xQx9xKx / Xx
Ingo Klasen and Maxx Coleman both entered the pot. Fourth street saw both players check. On fifth street, Coleman bet and Klasen called. Coleman bet sixth street when his opponent received a third deuce. Klasen smirked, but called. Klasen called another bet from Coleman on seventh, and Coleman rolled over Ax7x3x for a nine-seven. Klasen mucked his hand.
Soner Osman completed and Justin Liberto called. Liberto then called a bet on fourth street before Osman put him all in on fifth.
Liberto thought it over for a few moments before committing his final chips.
"Yup, dead," Liberto stated when the cards were revealed, as he needed runner-runner cards to beat Osman's made seven.
He was left drawing dead on sixth street, and Osman's seventh card was never even turned up as Liberto's elimination as the bubble of the unofficial final table of nine was set in stone.
At the start of today's action, you'd have thought Peter Brownstein had built a time machine. Brownstein, who placed second in the 1997 WSOP $1,500 Razz event, was just unlucky today to face several bring ins and find himself in this spot.
Brownstein raised before Maxx Coleman three-bet, and Brownstein four-bet, committing the rest of his short stack before Coleman called. The remaining streets were dealt and Coleman made a wheel on seventh street to defeat Brownstein's jack-six for an 11th place finish.
Mark Abinakle: 6x6x / AxKxAx8x / 9x
Peter Brownstein: 5x7x / 2xKx6xQx / Qx
Mark Abinakle completed before Peter Brownstein raised. Abinakle called instantly for the remainder of his stack. The remaining streets were dealt, but Abinakle could not improve to a winning hand. His king-nine fell to Brownstein's queen-seven for an elimination in 12th place.
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the seventh episode, Connor speaks with World Series of Poker (WSOP) commentator Norman Chad, one of the most recognizable voices in poker who has provided color commentary on poker's biggest stage for over 20 years.
Chad talks about getting his start as a sports writer in college, his decades-long syndicated sports humor column for the Washington Post and being asked to commentate on the 2003 WSOP Main Event that sparked the Poker Boom.
Chad also discusses the state of poker broadcasting today, the need for more color commentary in the booth, and the need for more interesting characters on the felt.
