After 10 hours of play on Day 2 of Event #40: $1,500 Razz, it is Scott Seiver leading the final 14 players with 2,455,000 in chips.

From a starting field of 547 entrants, just 136 returned for Day 2 with the money bubble yet to burst. A total of 83 were guaranteed at least the min-cash of $3,000. However, there remain just 14 players who return for Day 3 and a chance at WSOP glory and the first-place prize of $141,374.

Also near the top of the leaderboard is France’s Steven Abitbol (1,770,000) and Ben Yu (1,235,000). Bracelet winners Brandon Shack-Harris, Maxx Coleman, Justin Liberto, and Jason Gola are still in contention.

Several notable players busted in the money today, including Todd Brunson, Shaun Deeb, Alex Livingston, Patrick Leonard, and last year’s champion, David “ODB” Baker.

The Day’s Action

With 136 players returning for Day 2, the bustouts came quickly to start the day. Many who bagged short stacks on Day 1 were eliminated early and the money bubble arrived nearing by the first break.

There were two simultaneous eliminations on the stone bubble, and both Mark Gregorich and Jacob Perry received $1,500 as the rest of the of the room celebrated the min-cash of $3,000.

Following the bubble bursting, the bustouts once again came quickly and the field dwindled to just four remaining tables at the dinner break.

Some of the post-dinner eliminations included bracelet winners Frank Kassela, Mike Gorodinsky, and John Racener.
