Daniel Mayoh, who finished runner-up in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. event last night, was one of the last players to register here on Day 1 and quickly became involved in a three-way pot with Andre Akkari and Daniel Chapman.
Akkari completed and Chapman called before Mayoh raised. Both opponents called to fourth street, where Mayoh continued betting.
Mayoh bet on every street down to seventh as Chapman and Akkari called him down. He bet again on seventh, Akkari folded, but Chapman came back with a raise.
Mayoh quickly called and Chapman mucked his cards. Mayoh showed A?5?4? for two pair as he took the big pot.
"How often does that work?" Mayoh joked with Chapman.
"It didn't work at all here," Chapman replied.
"You either have to be a better player than me or a worse player," Mayoh added.
Mike Gorodinsky has also joined the field in the closing moments of Day 1.
