Davtyan Doubles Up Through Behnam Twice
Karo Davtyan and Arash Behnam were sitting next to each other in the blinds and the first hand started innocently enough. Davtyan completed the small blind and Arash Behnam checked his option.
They saw a flop of 8?6?5?. Davtyan bet 4,000 and Behnam raised to 10,000. Davtyan called.
The turn was the 4?. Davtyan again decided to lead, it was for 10,000. Behnam raised all in, which Davtyan snap-called.
Behnam turned over Q?4?, while Davtyan had 7?9? for the flopped nut straight.
A few hands later, Davtyan opened 4,000 from early position. Behnam called. Players in the small blind and big blind also called. Davtyan told PokerNews to stick around, saying that we are about to get a better story.
The flop came 5?2?Q?. Both blinds checked and Davtyan continued for 6,000. Behnam called and the blinds folded.
5? rolled off on the turn. Davtyan bet 10,000 and after a moment of thinking, Behnam raised to 60,000. Davtyan quickly moved all in and Behram called for the few chips he had left behind.
Karo Davtyan: 2?2?
Arash Behnam: A?5?
This time, it was a cooler for Behnam, as Dautiyan flopped a set and turned the full house, while he made trips on the turn. Behnam still had seven outs to a better full house, but the river 8? was not one of them and a pot of around 180,000 chips was sent Davtyan’s way.
