Sunday marks the conclusion of the biggest buy-in event on the 2024 World Series of Poker schedule; Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. Starting at noon local time, the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas will host the remaining 14 finalists as they race towards the first-place prize of $5,415,152 and the coveted gold WSOP bracelet.

However, with only twelve spots being paid, the players must first navigate the looming bubble to secure themselves a minimum cash of $506,757 before any thoughts of final table glory and gold WSOP hardware may be considered.

By the conclusion of Saturday night's play, Adrian Mateos continued aggression on the bubble saw him secure the all-important chip lead heading into the Day 3 restart. Mateos accumulated a massive 16,250,000 chips by the end of Level 18. Mateos won one of his four WSOP bracelets in this very event in 2021 for $3,265,362.

Following behind in the two remaining podium positions are Santhosh Suvarna and Taylor von Kriegenbergh with stacks of 14,950,000 and 12,050,000 respectively. Mateos, Suvarna, and Taylor will be the only three players to start proceedings with eight-figure stacks.
