Faraz Jaka raised 50,000 after looking down at A?K?, and faced resistance from Nikolai Mamut, who called with 9?8?.
The dealer fanned 10?8?6? on the flop, and both players checked. The turn saw J? on the board, and once again both players checked.
The fireworks, however, happened on the river when the dealer placed A? on the board.
Mamut led out with a small 25,000 bet, and then Jaka raised 100,000. Mamut fired back with his own raise of 400,000, which pushed the pot to 600,000.
Jaka was methodical in his decision, using a couple of time bank chips before putting chips in the middle.
Nice call, Mamut said, as the dealer pushed the pot to Jaka, whose pair of Aces took down the hand.
