Naoya Kihara Leads Star-Studded Field After Day 1 in Event #72: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship
Day 1 in Event #72: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship (7-Handed) has ended at Horeshoe and Paris Las Vegas at the 2024 World Series of Poker. The field grew quickly as the day progressed, with 129 entries after the conclusion of Day 1, with 47 players bagging at the end of the night. Many big names remain in the mix, but the player who bagged the most chips is Japan's Naoya Kihara with 379,000 chips.
Bracelet winner Kihara will have his eyes on bracelet number two, but it will be no easy task in a field full of the poker world's best. Behind him in second place is $25K Fantasy Draft Team Lucky member Matt Glantz (365,000) and in third is two-time bracelet winner Taylor Paur (360,000).

This event has brought out some of the biggest names in the poker world. With players like Shaun Deeb (327,000), Alex Foxen (303,500), Robert Mizrachi (272,500), Erik Seidel (178,500), Dario Sammartino (176,000), and Nick Schulman (165,000) all coming back for Day 2.
Some players who did not make it to the end of Day 1 include Chance Kornuth, Jared Bleznick, Jeremy Ausmus, Brad Ruben, Calvin Anderson and Maxx Coleman.
With players being able to register and reenter for the first two levels of Day 2, many more entries are expected with big names joining the mix. Players are allowed one reentry so surely some of the players who busted on Day 1 will be back tomorrow to fire their second bullet.
Action is set to resume at 1 p.m. local time on June 29. Play will resume in Level 11 at the 1,500-3,000 blind levels.
