Dezertzov Fires With Kings
Gil Dezertzov was in the small blind and heads-up against an opponent under the gun going to the 7?J?5? flop. Dezertzov then led out for 7,000 and his opponent called.
The turn was the 2? and Dezertzov bet another 10,000. The under-the-gun player quickly called and they saw the 9? fall on the river.
Dezertzov then bet 15,000, sending his opponent deep into the tank. He eventually called and held his cards up over the middle of the table, already anticipating he was beat. Dezertzov confirmed his suspicions when he showed K?K? as he took the pot.
While this hand was taking place, a tournament official made an announcement about a lost player. The unfortunate player admitted he had three martinis at the dinner break and had spent the last hour trying to remember which table he was seated at. He finally found it after a few minutes to a round of applause from the room.
