Gorham and Sanchez Chip Up
Diogo Veiga had vanished with Neal Corcoran jumping back to his comfortable bigger stack.
One table over, Francisco Sanchez took advantage of the A?K?K?8?A? river when Randy Gattesco check-folded to his bet and flashed the 8?8?. As he collected the pot, Sanchez smirked and then exposed the 7?7? for a successful bluff.
"Wait, what did he have?" Gattesco on the other side of the table asked and when he was told, shot out of the table with a loud "son of a bitch" as a joke, with the entire table bursting out in laughter.
While that hand was played out, Orson Young limped the small blind and called a raise to 140,000 by Jimmy Gorham in the big blind one table over. They checked the J?6?3? flop and Young led the 5? turn for 185,000, Gorham called.
Young also bet the 5? river for 425,000 and then tank-folded when Gorham raised it up to 1,400,000.
