"Wrecking Ball" Davis Fills Up in a Monster Pot to Bust Sanchez

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Kevin Davis
Kevin Davis

Three players saw a flop of 9?5?2? where Brian Rast bet 850,000 from early position. Kevin Davis then raised to 1,800,000 in middle position.

Action then went on Francisco Sanchez in the big blind who moved all in for 7,000,000. Rast asked for a count of both opponents' stacks as he went into the tank for several minutes.

He eventually folded, but Davis snap-called to create a massive pot with more than 15,000,000 at stake.

Francisco Sanchez: A?J? All in
Kevin Davis: 2?2?

Rast said he folded two jacks as Sanchez showed down the nut flush draw, while Davis had a set of deuces. The turn was the 5? and Davis improved to a full house to leave Sanchez drawing dead.

Sanchez cruelly saw the 8? fall on the river that completed his no-good flush and laughed it off as he filmed the action before heading for the rail.

"You're a wrecking ball, man," Rast told Davis, who moved up to 26,000,000 and into the tournament chip lead.

Joe Serock
Joe Serock

A short-stacked Marco Zevola put his hopes on the A?K? and he was up against Joe Serock, who took the coin flip with the 5?5?.

The 9?8?4? flop gave Zevola additional outs with the flush draw and he gained more equity with the 9? turn, as he added another two counterfit outs. However, the 5? river only improved Serock to a full house and Zevola exited a few minutes prior to the dinner break.

Brumaru Busts to Moura in Big Pot

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Gabriel Moura
Gabriel Moura

Gabriel Moura defended the big blind against a raise to 250,000 by Alexandru Brumaru. They headed to the J?10?9? flop on which Moura check-raised from 250,000 to 900,000. Brumaru clicked it back to 2,900,000 and then got it in when Moura shoved.

Alexandru Brumaru: J?J? All in
Gabriel Moura: K?Q?

The flopped nut straight needed to avoid the board to pair and the 7? turn as well as 4? river did just that. Both stacks were counted and Moura covered to send Brumaru to the payout desk.
