Foxen Gains Chips; Astedt Leads to Take Lead

Level 37 : Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Diogo Coelho raised to 2,000,000 in early position and Kristen Foxen called on the button. The flop fell 8?10?6? and was checked by both. Coelho then bet 2,200,000 on the 8? turn and Foxen called.

The 5? river was knuckled down again, and Foxen's A?Q? was the better ace-high at showdown, winning from Coelho's A?2?.

The next hand, Joe Serock raised his button to 2,100,000 and Niklas Astedt defended his big blind. Astedt checked the 2?7?3? flop, after which Serock bet 1,400,000. Astedt called and the 6? turn rolled off.

Astedt decided to lead out for 3,500,000 and received an instant fold from Serock, resulting in Astedt taking over the tournament chip lead from his opponent.

Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen opened to 2,000,000 from the hijack and action folded to Diogo Coelho in the big blind. He took his time before three-betting to 7,500,000. Foxen called to set up the 16,500,000 pot.

Coelho continued for 4,100,000 on the Q?9?4? flop and was called. The turn brought in the 8? turn and Coelho sized up to 7,500,000 and again Foxen called.

With nearly 40,000,000 in the middle heading to the 7? river, Coelho slowed down and checked. Foxen quickly checked behind.

Coelho's A?K? was no good as Foxen found her three-outer and took in the pot with A?Q?.

Brian Kim

Yegor Moroz limped in from the small blind and called when Brian Kim made it 3,500,000 from the big blind. The action was checked to the river for the final board to show A?K?8?Q?5?. Moroz led out for 2,200,000, and Kim made it 8,500,000.

On the next deal, Joe Serock opened to 2,000,000 from early position and forced out the remaining players.

Kim then kicked off the action with a raise to 2,1000,000 from the cutoff and Serock called from the big blind. Serock check-called for 1,800,000 on the 9?6?3? flop. The J? turn went check-check for the 10? to complete the board. Serock checked for a third time and Kim checked his XxXx to claim the pot.

Jonathan Tamayo raised to 2,000,000 and Boris Angelov called in the big blind, then led the 7?5?3? flop for 1,500,000. Tamayo called and Angelov bet again the 8? turn for 2,800,000 to pick up another call from Tamayo.

Malcolm Franchi raised to 2,400,000 on the button and fellow countryman Malo Latinois three-bet to 9,000,000 in the small blind. It folded back to Franchi, who went deep into the tank. He eventually jammed for 15,100,000 and Latinois called.
