Yockey Takes From Ben Yacov

Level 37 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Amit Ben Yacov used his newly found riches to raise to 2,000,000 from under the gun and it folded to Bryce Yockey in the small blind. He three-bet to 6,800,000.

Ben Yacov inquired about how much Yockey had behind and the answer was "about 10 million in total." Ben Yacov folded quickly after that.

Amit Ben Yacov raised to 2,100,000 from middle position and small blind Juan Lapido called. Big blind Sascha Wilhelm raised to 8,400,000 and Ben Yacov called for in total 6,575,000. Lapido looked at the clock, counted his stack, and ultimately made the call.

The flop was dealt Q?10?A? and a quick check followed from Lapido, but an even quicker all-in bet from Wilhelm came after that. Lapido didn't waste any time folding and they opened up.

Amit Ben Yacov: K?K?9?8? All in
Sascha Wilhelm: A?A?8?4?

The 7? provided a lifeline for Ben Yacov who then hit a straight on the 6? river to triple up and stay alive in the tournament.

Flush for Cavanaugh

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

James Cavanaugh called on the button and called again when Daisuke Ogita raised it up to 1,600,000 from the big blind.

They both checked through the Q?3?K? flop and the A? on the turn to the 10? on the river. Ogita checked and Cavanaugh bet 1,900,000. Ogita contemplated for a few seconds and called but mucked when Cavanaugh tabled the 10?8?8?7? for the flush.

It folded to James Cavanaugh in the small blind and he bet pot before a very quick all-in from Oshri Lahmani from the big blind for his remaining 3,950,000. Cavanaugh called and they opened up.

Oshri Lahmani: A?A?7?6? All in
James Cavanaugh: 5?4?3?2?

Cavanaugh laughed as he saw Lahmani open up aces and he said: "Oh I've got a hand to crack aces!"

He indeed had a hand to crack aces as the flop was dealt 7?2?10? and Cavanaugh hit a flush. The K? turn and 10? river didn't help out Lahmani as he was eliminated from the tournament.

The flop was 4?6?9? and Adams checked to Yockey who put the remainder of his stack in and Adams called.

Bryce Yockey: A?A?7?5? All in
Adam Adams: A?Q?J?8?

The turn was the 10? which gave Adams a ton of outs after the flop wasn't in his favor, but the 10? on the river awarded Yockey the double up.

Small One For Wilhelm

Level 36 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Hijack Sascha Wilhelm raised to 1,400,000 and was called by Bryce Yockey from the cutoff and big blind James Cavanaugh. The three saw the K?8?10? flop and Cavanaugh checked to Wilhelm who bet 1,700,000.

This was enough to make both of his opponents fold and take down the pot.

Lapido Shoves on Yockey

Level 35 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Juan Lapido raised to 1,500,000 from the button and Sascha Wilhelm made the call from the small blind. Bryce Yockey three-bet to 6,000,000 from the big blind. Lapido four-bet jammed with the bigger stack and got up from his chair.

"All-in, I am all-in!" Lapido he said excitedly.

Wilhelm folded instantly but Yockey needed some more time.

"Sounds like you have aces," Yockey commented while considering his options.

"No, no, four-five-six-seven, something like that," Lapido replied while still standing up.

"Hmmm, does sound like aces," Yockey retorted.

After a while, Yockey folded and Lapido happily grabbed his stack back and walked back to his rail to high five them.

Juan Lapido
Juan Lapido

Bryce Yockey limped under the gun and it folded all the way to small blind Juan Lapido who also called. Big blind Sascha Wilhelm checked his option.

The flop fell 10?K?5? and they all checked to see the 2? on the turn. Lapido checked to Wilhelm who fired a bet of 1,000,000. Yockey called but Lapido made a pot-sized raise to 6,000,000. Wilhelm called but Yockey folded.

The river was the K? and Lapido only had 2,825,000 behind but as soon as he moved chips forward towards the middle of the table Wilhelm's cards already touched the muck.
