Day 3 of Event #93: $777 Lucky 7's No-Limit Hold'em at the 2024 World Series of Poker will begin at 11 a.m. with only five players remaining from the gargantuan field of 6,292. The five remaining players are all aiming for the $777,777 grand prize out of the $4,302,218 total prize pool.
The player in the best position to grab that top prize is Duc Nguyen, who has the overwhelming chip lead with 119,200,000, which is 99 big blinds and is more than double the second largest stack of Michael Liang who has 52,500,000 or 44 big blinds.
Seat | Player | Country | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Rajesh Mehta | United States | 19,900,000 | 17 |
2 | Manoj Batavia | United States | 38,000,000 | 32 |
3 | Mitch Garshofsky | United States | 24,800,000 | 21 |
4 | Michael Liang | United States | 52,500,000 | 44 |
5 | Duc Nguyen | United States | 119,200,000 | 99 |
What a way to close the series it will be for one of the five remaining players, as they are all seeking their first WSOP bracelet.
Liang is the most accomplished one money-wise with $3.1 million in career earnings, including a runner-up finish in the $25,000 High Roller event in the 2021 WSOP which was for just over $500,000. A win today would give him his best career score.
Mitch Garshofsky has three WSOP circuit rings to his name and has been around the game a long time. This result is already good for his best career WSOP cash.
Manoj Batavia and Rajesh Mehta are both looking to capture a huge win to greatly increase their career earnings and really get their name on the poker map.
