Procop Spikes the River to Avoid Elimination

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Egor Procop
Egor Procop

Egor Procop limped in from the small blind and Adrian Mateos made it 300,000 from the big blind. Procop then shoved for a little over 2,000,000, and Mateos called.

Egor Procop: K?5? All in
Adrian Mateos: A?8?

Procop needed to find some help from the dealer and did pair his five on the 8?5?10? flop, but Mateos also paired his eight. The 2? turn changed nothing, but Procop's survival instincts kicked in and he willed in the K? river, which gave him two pair and kept his tournament life alive.

Michael Rocco

In what was intended to be a conversation about a slew of near misses over his career, Michael Rocco flipped the script when he revealed that the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) would be his last full series for many years.

And the reason why he'll be reducing his volume at the tables may come as a bit of a shock.

During a break in Event #94: $10,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship, he told PokerNews that he has acquired a farm in the last year, and intends to shift his focus to that venture over his card-playing exploits.
