Bad Aces... are Still Aces
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
After a preflop betting war, Mallory Frere got it all in against another player, whom he covered.
Player: K?J?9?8?
Mallory Frere: A?A?7?2?
"Yeah, I know, they're bad aces," Frere admitted, and some of the other players agreed they would rather have his opponent's hand.
But just like that, the flop came out 2?2?3? to improve Frere to trip deuces for a big lead. The turn 6? gave his opponent some life with a flush draw, but it was not to be as the river was the 4? to send him to the rail.
"Hey, bad aces are still aces," one of the other players said as Frere raked in the pot.
