Ylon Schwartz has the button in Seat 3. He opens the pot with a raise to 1.5 million. Ivan Demidov reraises from the small blind to 4.925 million, driving big blind Peter Eastgate out of the pot. A staring contest ensues, with Schwartz pondering what an appropriate reponse to Demidov's raise should be. The answer, apparently, is to call.
Demidov has to act first on the flop. He reaches for a stack of chips and cuts out 7.125 million, which makes its way into the center of the table. Schwartz quickly and quietly lays down his hand. He is now the short stack, with just more than 15 million in chips.
