Table 718, Paul Volpe Opens Three Hands In a Row
Level 17
: 3,000/6,000, 1,500 ante
After two quick eliminations, the action has settled slightly. Konstantin Maslak was moved to balance the tables, and Darren Elias and Paul Volpe have about 200,000 more chips than the rest of their tablemates.
Volpe just opened three hands in a row:
- The first hand, Volpe opened to 18,000 and took down the blinds and antes.
- The second hand, Volpe opened again to 18,000, and Per Hildebrand called from the small blind. Each player drew one and then checked. Hildebrand won the hand with a better queen,
- Volpe opened to 18,000 for the third hand in a row, and Xavier Kyablue and Jon Turner both called from the blinds. All three players drew one, and Kyablie led for 40,000. Turner folded, and Volpe took about 30 seconds before folding, too.
