Chinni Doubles Through Groth

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Tyler Groth seemed to win nearly every pot he contested today, but Jesse Chinni eventually found his way to beat Groth in a hand that escalated to Chinni being all in on the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Chinni was in for his remaining 77,000 and Groth had a chance to score the first knockout of the day.

Jesse Chinni: {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Tyler Groth: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Chinni had flopped the nuts, but his straight wasn't a sealed winner just yet as Groth hoped for a third diamond to make flush. The turn {8-Spades} and the river {3-Spades} didn't oblige, leaving Chinni doubling.

Brown Gets Short

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Jonathan Zarin raised first to act and picked up three callers including Allan Le, Casey Carroll and Daniel Spencer. The flop of {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} was checked to Le and he took it down with a bet of 56,000, flashing two of his cards as he did — the {A-Spades} and {K-Clubs}.

One hand later, Adam Brown raised to 58,000 and Spencer three-bet the pot to 184,000 with around 60,000 behind. Brown folded and the pot was awarded to Spencer.

Brown also limped in from the small blind and Le raised to 50,000 in order to force a fold from Brown.

Zullo Shoves on Sharaskin

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Under the gun, Igor Sharaskin min-raied and Mark Zullo flatted from the big blind.

Zullo check-called another 35,000 on the {A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, and the turn brought the {10-Hearts}.

Zullo checked once again, letting Sharaskin fire a second barrel worth 90,000. Zullo paused and started counting what he had left. After a minute or so, Zullo moved all in, earning a snap-fold from Sharaskin.

With the recent movement of chips, Sharaskin has conceded his chip lead to Tylor Groth whose final day performance has been stellar so far.

Zarin With "The Other Hand" and Brown Chips Up

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Casey Carroll raised to 40,000 and Jonathan Zarin three-bet the pot out of the small blind for 128,000 in total. Carroll folded and asked if Zarin had pocket aces. "No, I have the other hand," Zarin said. "Do you want to see the other hand?" Zarin and eventually flashed {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Zarin then added "Do I get one show now Casey?"

The next hand, Adam Brown limped in from the small blind and Allan Le raised to 45,000 in the big blind. Brown called and the flop came {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}. Brown bet the pot for 90,000 and Le eventually folded, asking Brown "Did you have the ace of spades?"

Brown replied with "Possibly. I had a pair and the flush draw."

Casey Caroll Doubles Through Daniel Spencer

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

First to act, Daniel Spencer raised to 30,000 and Casey Carroll in the big blind three-bet the pot to 96,000. "I have 65,000 behind," Carroll said while Spencer eyed his stack and reraised. Carroll called all in and the cards were tabled.

Casey Carroll: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades}
Daniel Spencer: {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}

Carroll had the superior pocket pair and improved to a pair of aces on the {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop. The {K-Spades} on the turn left Spencer with two outs only to deal the final blow to Carroll, but a blank {7-Clubs} river completed the board to let Carroll double for 161,000.

Zarin More Than Doubles Stack Without Showdown

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Casey Carroll raised to 32,000 and Jonathan Zarin called in the small blind before Adam Brown raised it up to 128,000 in the big blind. Carroll called, as did Zarin, and they headed three-way to the flop of {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Zarin immediately announced all in for 215,000 and Brown folded. Carroll also let go and the pot was awarded to Zarin, who more than doubled without showdown.

"Whew baby, I needed that. I should have repotted preflop, had a really strong hand," Zarin added.

Groth Hits Another Boat

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Three players were involved on the turn reading {9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, with Tyler Groth firing 100,000 from the button. Igor Sharaskin (big blind) called but Darren Taylor gave up.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and Sharaskin checked to Groth once again. Groth slid forward a 125,000 bet, putting Sharaskin to a tough decision.

Sharaskin took about a minute to make his move, which was eventually a call. Groth turned over {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a rivered full house, which wasn't a hand Sharaskin wanted to see. He flipped over his {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{X-}{X-} for flopped top two pair, and the pot went to Groth.

Hand 3

Allan Le raised from the button and Spencer three-bet out of the big blind for 81,000. Le called and the flop of {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} was checked by both players. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Spencer checked and Le's bet of 67,000 won the pot uncontested.

Two Streets of Value for Groth

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Darren Taylor opened the button to 25,000 and found one caller in Tyler Groth, who came along from the big blind.

They both checked the {5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop, but Groth took the betting lead on the following streets. He fired 40,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn and another 60,000 on the {4-Spades} river, getting calls on both occasions.

"Fives full," Groth announced before showing {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to prove his statement. Taylor mucked.
