Max Silver Bags Overwhelming Chip Lead in Event #27 with 21 Players Left
Day 2 of Event #27: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Handed began with 201 players from the total 959 entries. Only 21 made it through the 10.5 levels of play.
London poker pro Max Silver finished the day as the overwhelming chip leader after amassing a stack of 2,219,000. Silver’s stack continually increased after the dinner break, and he more than doubled his stack in the final two-and-a-half levels of play. With plenty of tournament poker success to his credit, Silver is still looking for his WSOP title.
The next biggest stack is just under half that of Silver at 1,160,000, and that belongs to Morten Mortensen. Rounding out the top five heading into tomorrow are Jerry Payne (955,000), Chris Moorman (906,000), and Onur Unsal (893,000).
Also still in contention to win gold Friday are bracelet winners Steve Sung (840,000), Michael Gagliano(840,000), and Simeon Naydenov (364,000), along with Ryan Tosoc (709,000), Samantha Cohen (482,000), Nacho Barbero (382,000), James Chen (283,000), and Pratyush Buddiga (169,000).
The remaining 21 restart at 12 p.m. to play down to a winner.
