Hands #14-16: Thomas Boivin Goes All In

Level 6 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Hand #14: Tim West raised to 75,000 from mid-position and Steve Foutty in the hijack and Ben Maya on the button called. The flop came {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}, West checked, Steve Foutty opened to 75,000, Maya folded, and West called. They checked through the {4-Clubs} on the turn. The {8-Hearts} on the river completed the board, West bet 150,000, and Foutty called. West showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for aces and eights and Foutty showed {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} to West but not to the rest. Thomas Boivin asked what it was and the dealer showed the kings to the rest of the table.

Hand #15: The blind levels just went up to 10,000/20,000 with a 3,000 ante. Ben Maya raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and everyone folded.

Hand #16: Steve Foutty raised to 44,000 from the under-the-gun position. Both Ben Maya in the hijack and Thomas Boivin in the cutoff called. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Foutty opened to 81,000, Maya raised to 250,000, and Boivin shoved all in. Foutty folded but Maya needed more time to think about what he was going to do. After some long careful consideration, Maya decided to fold but he did show {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} to the table. Boivin raked in the pot.
