Ryan Mcknight
Ryan Mcknight

Ryan Mcknight was all in for his last 2,330,000 from the hijack and got action from Paul Gibbons in the cutoff.

Mcknight was at risk with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and found himself flipping with Gibbons' {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} and Gibbons got a favorable flop since he was holding the only spade. The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, giving Mcknight a straight draw. The river was the {7-Hearts} to complete his straight and he was able to survive to see another hand.

Level 34 : 120,000/240,000, 40,000 ante
Scott Baumstein
Scott Baumstein

David Brent pushed all in from early position for 2,160,000 and Scott Baumstein called from the button. Baumstein was in a dominating position with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} against Brent's {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Brent was able to hit a jack on the river to double up, leaving Baumstein with only 155,000 chips.

In the next hand, Thomas Ryan raised to 425,000 from early position and Baumstein slid his remaining chips into the middle. Paul Gibbons called from the big blind and there was heads-up action for the side pot.

The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Ryan checked, Gibbons bet 500,000 and Ryan called. The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river brought the {5-Hearts} and Ryan led out for 900,000, getting a fold from Gibbons. Ryan tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a full house and Baumstein was eliminated in 17th place

Soika Seals it With a Set

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Ihar Soika
Ihar Soika

With about 1,300,000 in the pot already, on a board reading {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Joldis Cosmin checked from the small blind, and Ihar Soika bet 475,000 from under the gun. Cosmin thought for a moment and called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}. Cosmin checked, Soika bet 1,100,000 and Cosmin asked for a count before calling for a second time.

The river was the {q-Spades} and Cosmin checked yet again. Soika paused for a moment and eventually moved all in for 3,665,000. Cosmin tanked for a minute and eventually tossed in a single chip to call. Soika quickly tabled {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for bottom set, and Cosmin flashed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for top two pair before mucking his cards and paying the bet.

Brent Wins a Flip to Survive, Montgomery's Stack Continues to Drop

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

David Brent moved all in for 1,420,000 from early position, and Scott Montgomery moved all in over top from the cutoff.

Brent was at risk with {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, in a coin flip situation against Montgomery with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Brent took the lead with trip jacks. Montgomery needed to hit one of the two remaining eights in the deck, but couldn't get there as the turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river was the {7-Clubs}.

Brent found a double-up and Montgomery took yet another hit to his stack.
