Clements Back at Building a Stack

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

In a series of hands, Scott Clements has been able to build his stack again without any major drama.

Chris Lee raised to 350,000 on the button and Hani Mio called in the big blind. The duo checked the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board entirely and Mio won the pot with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Clements raised to 560,000 in then next hand and claimed the blinds before Mio limped the button. Tommy Le filled up and Clements checked his option in the big blind. On the {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, Le checked and Clements bet the pot for 480.000. Both opponents folded and were shown queen-six for top two pair.

Clements limped the small blind and Lee checked. They checked down the board {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Clements won the pot with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Mio limped in, as did Clements on the button. Jason DeWitt checked in the big blind and the flop fell {J-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. It checked to Clements who bet 200,000. Only Mio called and check-folded the {5-Diamonds} turn when Clements bet the pot.

Jason DeWitt Doubles Through Hani Mio

Jason Dewitt
Jason Dewitt

Hani Mio limped from under the gun, Tommy Le was next to act and did the same, and Scott Clements called from the button, as well. Chris Lee folded his small blind, and Jason DeWitt checked his option.

The four players saw a flop of {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and DeWitt bet the pot for 720,000. Mio called, and Le and Clements both folded. The turn brought the {8-Spades}, and DeWitt moved all in for 760,000. Mio called to put DeWitt at risk, and both players tabled their hands.

DeWitt: {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}
Mio: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

DeWitt had the lead with a set of sevens against Mio's top two pair. The {Q-Clubs} river was a safe one for DeWitt, and he took the pot to double up.

Clements Amps Up Aggression

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Chris Lee was first to act and asked Scott Clements, in the big blind, for his stack. "I have 1,415,000 and this," Clements said, pointing to his big blind. Lee then raised to 525,000, and Clements eventually called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Clements immediately moved all in, and Lee folded.

The next hand, Tommy Le limped in from the button, and Clements raised the pot to 640,000. Lee folded, as did Le, and Clements bumped his stack up some more.

Chris Lee Doubles Through Jason DeWitt

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante
Chris Lee
Chris Lee

Action folded around to the blinds where Chris Lee called from the small, and Jason DeWitt checked his option from the big.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Lee bet 225,000, and DeWitt called. The turn brought the {2-Diamonds}, and Lee bet again 550,000 this time. DeWitt moved all in, putting Lee to a decision for the remainder of his stack, and he called.

DeWitt: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Lee: {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Lee had the advantage with top two pair against DeWitt's second and third pairs. The {J-Hearts} river changed nothing, and Lee took the pot to double up.

Even More for Mio

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Hani Mio limped from the button, and Tommy Le completed in the small blind. Scott Clements raised the pot to 640,000, and Mio called, Le folded.

On the {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop, Clements checked and folded to a bet of 500,000 from Mio.

Clements then won a limped pot in a battle of the blinds when he got no action from a jack-high straight. Then he raised to 400,000 and claimed the blinds.

Clements then raised to 400,000 first to act, and Mio called in the small blind. On the {A-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Mio checked and called a bet worth 450,000. The {4-Spades} turn went check-check, and Mio's bet of 550,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river forced a fold from Clements, who dropped to the bottom of the counts.

Le vs. DeWitt

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Jason DeWitt raised to 250,000 from the button, and Tommy Le called from the big blind.

The flop came {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}, and Le checked. DeWitt bet 225,000, and Le called. Both players checked the {K-Hearts} turn and {6-Clubs} river.

Le tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for two pair, which was good enough to win the pot.

Mio Chips Up Through Clements

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante
Hani Mio
Hani Mio

Hani Mio called from under the gun, Scott Clements called from the button, Chris Lee called from the small blind, and Jason DeWitt checked his option.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}, and both blinds checked. Mio bet 420,000, Clements called, and both blinds folded. The turn brought the {3-Diamonds}, and Mio announced a pot-sized bet of 1,280,000, sending Clements into the tank. Ultimately, he called. The {5-Diamonds} fell on the river, and Mio instantly moved all in for just over 3,000,000. Clements folded, and Mio took the pot.

Le Cracks Aces Again, Triples Stack

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Jason DeWitt raised to 250,000, and Tommy Le called on the button. Scott Clements three-bet the pot to 1,120,000 in the small blind. DeWitt re-raised the pot to 3,610,000, and Le called all in for far less. Clements asked how much more he had to call and also inquired about Le's stack size. Le was all in for 1,190,000, and Clements eventually folded.

Tommy Le: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Jason DeWitt: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}

"Oh, you have aces?" Clements joked.

The flop came {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and Le improved to two pair. The {3-Hearts} turn gave DeWitt a straight draw, but the blank {8-Diamonds} river changed nothing to let Le more than triple up his stack.

Eoghan O'Dea Eliminated in 6th Place ($143,128)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Eoghan O'Dea
Eoghan O'Dea

Eoghan O'Dea raised to 420,000, and Hani Mio, on the button, announced a re-raise for the size of the pot. Once the action was back on O'Dea, he called all in for what appeared to be 1,025,000, and the cards were turned over.

Eoghan O'Dea: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Hani Mio: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}

"King ball. A king for the king," Mio's rail demanded. The flop fell {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}, and Mio did indeed spike a king to take the lead. O'Dea had a flush draw but failed to get there on the {6-Diamonds} turn and {2-Diamonds} river to join the rail in 6th place for $143,128.

All five remaining players are now guaranteed at least $197,533.
