Metalidi Turns a Set
Marc-Andre Ladouceur joined the stacked table captained by Matt Berkey.
Ladouceur lasted the shortest time in the following hand, folding under the gun. His neighbor, Artem Metalidi raised to 800, earning calls from small blind Matt Berkey and a player in the big blind.
Metalidi checked back the flop, leaving the betting initiative to Berkey, who led out for 1,700 on the turn.
"How much? Seventeen?" Metalidi asked after the big blind had folded. Metalidi called.
The river went check-check, and Berkey tabled . Metalidi leaned over to see his cards and double-checked them with the board, maybe trying to determine whether or not Berkey had a straight.
When Metalidi figured out that Berkey had only a pair of tens, he rolled over his for a turned set.
