Kozlov Grinds it Up

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Hand #1: Martin Kozlov and Bryce Yockey clashed in a pot that saw Yockey check-raise a flop of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} for half of Kozlov's stack. Kozlov called and both then checked the {10-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river. Yockey announced ace-ten and showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, which Kozlov had beat with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Hand #2: Artem Babakhanyan raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Yockey called from the cutoff, as did William Kakon in the big blind. The flop came {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Kakon checked. Babakhanyan continued for 150,000 and Yockey folded. Kakon called. After the {A-Diamonds} turn, Kakon checked and folded to a bet worth 200,000.

Hand #3: Kozlov raised to 80,000 and Babakhanyan defended the big blind. The {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop and the {10-Spades} turn brought no betting action. On the {9-Clubs} river, Babakhanyan checked and Kozlov's bet of 180,000 forced a fold.

Park: {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}
Rybin: {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

Sammartino and Rybin Chip Up

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

James Park opened the action with a raise and Dan Smith on the button, as well as Dario Sammartino in the big blind called. On the {Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Smith and he bet 175,000. Sammartino check-raised to 750,000 and that forced two folds.

Smith raised to 140,000 from the cutoff the next hand and Sammartino called in the small blind. Alexey Rybin came along from the big blind. The {J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop was checked, as was the {3-Hearts} turn and {Q-Spades} river. Sammartino flashed {K-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and Rybin had that beat with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Smith mucked and Rybin claimed the pot.

One for Tollerene and Rybin; Kamran Shows Up Late

After a limp by Alexey Rybin from under the gun, Ben Tollerene raised to 180,000 and Rybin called. The flop came {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Rybin checked. Tollerene bet the pot for most of his remaining stack and Rybin folded.

One hand later, Aaron Katz raised to 100,000 from the button and Rybin defended the big blind. Both players checked the {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} board and Rybin won the pot with {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

Rifat Palevic Eliminated in 16th Place ($48,896) & Iraj Parvizi Eliminated in 15th Place ($48,896)

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
James Calderaro
James Calderaro

Rifat Palevic limped from the cutoff, James Calderaro raised from the button, Iraj Parvizi called from the small blind, and Palevic called as well.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Parvizi checked. Palevic bet 375,000, Calderaro raised the pot to 1,400,000, Parvizi jammed for about 3,100,000, and Palevic put his stack in as well. Calderaro had the largest of the three stacks and called.

Calderaro: {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Parvizi: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Palevic: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

Calderaro had the lead with the flopped nut straight and top two pair, Parvizi was open-ended with a pair of tens, and Palevic had flopped a set of sevens. The {9-Diamonds} fell on the turn which gave both Calderaro and Palevic boats, but Calderaro had the bigger boat with nines full of tens, leaving both Parvizi and Palevic in terrible shape heading to the river. It was the {8-Spades}, and Calderaro took the pot to eliminate both players.
