Allen Cunningham Quadruples His Stack in the First Hour of Play

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Our access to the feature tables are limited, but we were able to notice a heap of chips sitting in front of Allen Cunningham. He started the day with 131,000, and his new wall of nearly 600,000 captured our attention.

We caught up with the dealer on deck, who happened to deal the first 30 minutes of play at Cunningham's table and here is what we were told.

Cunningham, in the small blind, and Katie Swift, in the big blind, put all the chips in the middle preflop on the second hand of the day. Cunningham held {a-}{a-}, while Swift tabled {a-}{k-}. Cunningham's aces held and Swift's stack of 102,000 was moved one seat over.

The very next hand, Casey Ring in late position raised to 4,500. It folded to Cunningham on the button, who called, as did the big blind, Nicholas Augustino.

The flop came {5-}{2-}{2-}. Augustino checked, Ring bet 8,200, Cunningham called. Augustino raised to 30,000, Ring folded, and Cunningham called.

The {2-} was dealt on the turn. The Augustino bet 50,000 and Cunningham called.

The river brought a {5-} and a bet of 135,000 from Augustino. Cunningham moved all in and was called.

Augustino tabled {q-}{2-} for quad deuces but it wasn't enough to beat Cunningham's quad fives.
