Outer Table Hands #33-37: Blumstein Overbet Shoves
Hand #33: Valentin Messina raised to 675,000 and folded to a shove from Alexandre Reard, who had about 5 million in the cutoff.
Hand #34: Messina opened to 675,000 second to act and got called by Pedro Oliveira on his left. Again, a player shoved all in though. This time, it was Richard Gryko, on the button. He had about 9.5 million and got two folds.
Hand #35: Oliveira raised to 700,000 and took it down.
Hand #36: Scott Blumstein raised in the cutoff with 700,000 worth of chips, though the actual raise may have been a lesser amount as it looked like he said something to the dealer that we couldn't hear. Richard Dubini repopped it to 1.6 million on the button.
Blumstein came along to see an flop. Both players checked. On the turn, Blumstein bet fairly big with 2.2 million and Dubini called. Blumstein moved all in after about a minute of thought on the river. It was about 13 million, so more than the size of the pot. Dubini thought only briefly before folding.
Hand #37: Messina completed the blind and Oliveira checked. Messina bet 300,000 on the flop and 900,000 more on the turn. He barreled a final time for 1.4 million on the river.
"My friend from France," Oliveira mused. "What can you have?"
He tossed in a call after about a minute but couldn't beat .
