Eswaralingam Holds to Triple Up

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Miki Wan opened with a raise to 56,000 from under the gun and another player at the table moved all in for about 250,000 a couple seats over. Action folded to the button where Sel Eswaralingam moved all in over the top on the button for about 290,000. Action was back on Wan and she tanked it over for quite some time before calling and putting both players at risk with a covering stack.

Sel Eswaralingam: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Miki Wan: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} giving Eswaralingam the win on the turn as both of his opponents were left drawing dead. With that, he tripled up to over 700,000. Wan was left with right around 150,000 after the hand.

Yin's Bluff Fails and Mehta Moves Over a Million

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

According to Pratik Mehta, Louis Yin opened with a raise and Mehta three-bet. Yin called.

On the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop, Yin checked to Mehta who bet 125,000. Yin called.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and both players checked. On the {A-Diamonds} river though, Yin led out for around 350,000. Mehta called and Yin showed his {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a bluff. Mehta held {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a better two pair than the board and he would take down the pot to move over 1 million while Yin was left with just under 300,000.

Lee Runs Into a Monster

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Catching action on a flop of {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} Jeff Lipman checked over to Hannah Lee. Lee put out a bet of 50,000 which Lipman called. creating a pot of nearly 300,000.

Both players checked on the {J-Clubs} turn and the {5-Hearts} came on the river. There, Lipman checked. Lee put out a bet of 75,000 and Lipman snap-called. Lee showed {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} but it was no good as Lipman was holding {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

"What?" Lee said upon seeing the hand.

Several of the players at the table agreed that they thought Lipman was holding a monster and they weren't as surprised as Lee seemed to be.

Conomos Barely Survives the Bubble but First Eliminated

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

According to John Conomos, as the bubble burst on one table, he was forced all in from the big blind at another table with less than one big. Five players called and his jack-two offsuit was not enough to net him any part of the pot. Because the bubble burst just before hand for hand play started, Conomos survived and was able to make the money busting in 54th place for $1,846.
