Final Table Bios: Seat 9 - James Keys
Chip Count: 172,000
Heavily supported by his raucous rail, young James Keys is playing in what is by far the biggest tournament of his three-year career, the paltry $78 he qualified for now looking to be a shrewd investment indeed.
Carrying a substantial stack throughout the majority of the tournament, James caught his biggest score as soon as he reached the final 36, the £27,125 he cashed for comfortably surpassing his previous largest triumph of $3,000.
Hailing from the sunny shores of Bury St’ Edmunds, but now working in London for Betfair, 21-year old James is currently a student at Durham university and picked up the game off mentors Ben Mayhew and Thomas Ferrari. He has been playing online for around 3 years, but makes the odd trip to the Gutshot Club in London to sharpen his live skills.
His friends were very keen for me to add the rather fabricated accusations of S&M, bondage and any other sordid interest, but I had to hesitantly decline.
