Florida's Jason Mercier burst onto the tournament scene this spring when he won the EPT San Remo for over $1.3 million. The former high school basketball coach followed that up with three cashes at the WSOP-Las Vegas, all in no-limit hold'em events. Most recently, Mercier finished sixth at the EPT Barcelona, adding another $325,000 to the till. This is his fourth WSOP cash and first final table.

Final Table Bios: Seat 2, David Penly (162,000)

29-year old David Penly got into this event by selling shares of himself on the Blonde Poker Forums, where dozens of U.K. poker fans are cheering him on this afternoon. The Briton is a familiar face on the Grosvenor U.K. Poker Tour, where he has racked up dozens of final table finishes and two wins earlier this year. Penly also recently won the pot-limit Omaha event at the Norwegian Poker Championships and finished 10th at the WSOP's $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Pot-Limit Omaha event this summer (where his fellow final tablist Max Pescatori won his second bracelet). An accountant before turning to poker, he's currently ranked as the #1 European pot-limit Omaha tournament player.

Stockholm, Sweden's Erik Friberg is best-known for his final table finish at the 2006 WSOP Main Event where he banked over $1.9 million for finishing eighth. The following year he finished third in the $5,000 Six Handed No-Limit Hold'em event, won the Swedish Open Poker Championships, and made the final table of the WPT Spanish Championship in Barcelona, finishing seventh. This is the 25-year-old poker professional's third WSOP cash and third final table.
