Aces Bust Aces

(Omaha)

We have been treated to a star-studded post-dinner feature table that includes the likes of Ian Frazer, Annette Obrestad, and Sami Kelopuro and already we've witnessed fireworks. Within just a few hands, there was a raise to 1,200 from mid-position, a reraise to 4,200 from Sherkhan Farnood, followed by yet another raise to 14,200 from Hoyt Corkins, all seated consecutively. Atfer the initial raiser stepped out of the way - with what I am led to believe was double suited picture cards - Farnood announced all-in and Corkins called.

Corkins = {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Farnood = {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{K-Spades}

Two monstrous hands, but it was the cheeky 8-6 which saved this from being a chopped affair, Corkins making two pair on a {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{J-Diamonds} board to scoop up a welcome pot.

Farnood, meanwhile, was left with an eggshell of rice, and departed moments later.
