Goodwin Doing Good Job of Winning
- Mr. Goodwin has 93,000 in chips.
- he acquired most of those when he knocked out Tom Dwan. Dwan raised from the button and Goodwin flat-called with pocket jacks, to see a flop which they both checked. Goodwin checked the turn as well, and then made it 5,000 when Dwan continuation-bet 2,000. They saw a river and Goodwin now bet out 10,000. Dwan pushed, Goodwin called, and Dwan turned over a most unfortunate for a smaller full house.
- Goodwin is still reading WSOP media coordinator Nolan Dalla's biography of Stu Ungar -- the same book he was reading all the way through the recent EPT Barcelona where he did so well. "Haven't you finished that yet?" I asked. "No, I'm afraid to," he replied. Furthermore, the book has now been dedicated and signed to Mr. Goodwin by the delighted author. Everyone is very happy. Except possibly Tom Dwan.
