Christer Not Almighty After All

Moments after doubling up, Christer Johansson did the exact opposite and busted out.

He, Yevgeniy Timoshenko and Sandor Demjan saw a {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} flop and Demjan checked. Timoshenko bet 3,600 and Demjan tried to call before Johansson had acted; in the event he lost nothing as Johansson merely flatted, Demjan's chips stayed in the pot and all three saw a turn.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Demjan checked again. Timoshenko now checked behind, and Johansson bet 6,800, leaving himself 15,000 behind. Demjan folded but Timoshenko announced all in. Johansson called very swiftly, and they were on their backs.

Johansson: {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} for two pair
Timoshenko: {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} for a set

River: {9-Hearts}

The two shook hands in most gentlemanly fashion, and we are down an Irish Open champion.
