Karr In High Gear

We watched McLean Karr chop a big pot a few moments ago when he and his opponent both made Broadway.

Just now, Karr got a whole pot for himself. We missed the preflop action, but we can surmise that he opened from late position, then called a three-bet from Steven Chao. Chao bet 2,500 on the {9-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} flop, and Karr made the call. The {Q-Spades} on the turn drew checks from both, and the river brought the {6-Spades}. When Chao checked again, Karr bet 5,875 and was quickly called.

Karr tabled {7-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} for the baby straight, and it was good. Chao flashed his {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} -- now second-best, and Karr moves up to about 68,000 with that pot.
