Mizrachi Doubles Through Hairabedian

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Michael Mizrachi raised to 12,000 from under the gun and Roger Hairabedian called from the big blind.

The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and both players checked. The {5-Clubs} came on the turn and Hairabedian bet 15,000. Mizrachi called and the {9-Clubs} completed the board.

Hairabedian checked and Mizrachi bet 21,000. Hairabedian peeked at his cards and then moved out a raise to 120,000. Mizrachi thought for a while before calling for his tournament life.

Hairabedian showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} for a straight but was ultimately behind Mizrachi's {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flush. Mizrachi is now sitting on a stack of 314,000.

Joe Hachem Eliminated in 6th Place (€25,490)

Joe Hachem bust out in sixth place
Joe Hachem bust out in sixth place

In Joe Hachem's final hand it was Roger Hairabedian who limped once again. Michael Mizrachi had no intentions of missing out, and called as well. Both blinds stayed in the pot and the flop brought out {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

Hachem was in the small blind and he bet pot, 24,000, with just 4,500 behind. Mattila decided to raise pot to 96,000 and the two other players folded. Hachem jokingly made it seem like he was folding, but obviously committed his final chips.

Showdown:
Joe Hachem: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Ville Mattila: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the river the {A-Hearts} ending Hachem's tournament in sixth place.

Mizrachi Can't Beat a Bluff

Jussi Ryannen raised to 20,000 pre flop and Michael Mizrachi called from the button. The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Ryynanen fired out 29,000, Mizrachi called quickly.

On the turn the {Q-Hearts} hit and Ryynanen continued by betting 45,000. Mizrachi called once more, and the river brought out the {5-Spades}.

Ryynanen kept his cool and then put out a hefty 110,000-chip bet. Mizrachi tanked for ages and said he probably could not even beat a bluff. After pump faking a couple of times he finally let his hand go. Ryynanen is back up there now while Mizrachi drops a lot.

Ryynanen Almost Doubles

Action folded to Ville Mattila's small blind and he raised to 18,000. Jussi Ryynanen called from the big blind and a monotone flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Clubs} fell.

Mattila bet 18,000 and Ryynanen called. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Mattila slowed down with a check. Ryynanen moved 30,000 into the middle and received a call.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Mattila checked again. Ryynanen bet 75,000 which was almost all of his chips. Mattila announced a call but mucked his hand when Ryynanen showed {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Ryynanen is now sitting on a stack of about 290,000.

"You think he's gonna die, but he multiplies!"

The Grinder's reply, "Nuts."
The Grinder's reply, "Nuts."

This final table is quite possibly one of the most entertaining ones we've seen in a long time, and Michael Mizrachi is mostly responsible for that. Ville Mattila just raised to 12,000 and both blinds defended creating three-way action.

The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and both blinds checked to Mattila who bet 21,000. Roger Hairabedian was in the small blind and he folded. Mizrachi called from the big blind, and another battle between these two emerged.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Mizrachi checked again.

"I bet pot," Mattila said, who fired out 80,000. Mizrachi would have have 48,000 chips behind if he decided to call, but he did so.

The river brought out the {2-Spades} and Mizrachi moved all in right away. Mattila wasn't happy, and called reluctantly.

"Nuts," Mizrachi announced as he threw his cards face up on the table. He showed {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and took down the pot with a straight. Mizrachi is right back in it while Mattila retains a slight chip lead.

"You think he's gonna die, but he multiplies!" Mizrachi said with a smile as he began stacking his new chips. This final table is far from over!

Hachem Sinks Further

Joe Hachem is the short stack and in serious trouble after just losing another pot. He raised to 21,000 pre flop and Roger Hairabedian called from the big blind.

"What did you say?" Hachem asked the announcer who repeated, "Hachem raises to 21,000". Hachem looked back to the table and said, "I thought I heard something else."

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and both players checked. On the turn the {K-Spades} hit, and again it was checked. The river brought out the {J-Diamonds} and Hairabedian fired out 30,000.

Hachem said, "I thought you said "Hachem raises to 21,000 with aces"" as he turned up his {A-}{A-}.

"He's bluffing," Mizrachi said about Hairabedian who couldn't help it but show {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}. Hachem was left behind short and will need to double up quickly.

Nevanlinna Doubles Through Mizrachi

Joe Hachem opened to 10,000 from under the gun and was called by Michael Mizrachi from the small blind and Jussi Nevanlinna from the big blind.

The flop fell {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and all three players checked. Mizrachi bet 13,500 on the turn when the {7-Diamonds} fell and Nevanlinna called. Hachem folded and the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Mizrachi announced that he was all in, which was a pot sized bet for 57,500 that more than hand Nevanlinna covered. Nevanlinna called and showed {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} for a king-high flush, which was enough to take down the pot and double up.
