Brammer vs. Hellmuth

Christopher Brammer opened for 60,000 from the hijack and Phil Hellmuth called from the small blind. The latter proceeded to check-call a bet of 75,000 on the {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop, and then turned right around and led out for 80,000 when the {9-Clubs} appeared on the turn. It was enough to get the job done as Brammer sent his hand to the muck.

Baranov Pushes

Action folded around to Christopher Brammer who raised to 48,000 from the cutoff. Jason Mercier folded his button and Sergii Baranov called from the small blind. Phil Hellmuth folded his big blind and the flop brought {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Baranov checked and Brammer continued for 55,000. Baranov slid out a check-raise to 137,000. Brammer called.

The {4-Hearts} fell on fourth street and Baranov moved out 195,000. Brammer let go of his cards and Baranov was able to take down the pot.

Cheong Takes from Girault

Stephane Girault opened for 80,000 from early position and received calls from Joseph Cheong and Sergii Baranov in the hijack and big blind respectively. The {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop saw Baranov check, Girault bet 125,000, and Cheong call. After Baranov got out of the way, the dealer burned and turned the {2-Hearts}.

This time Girault slowed down with a check, and then ended up folding when Cheong tossed out a bet of 180,000.

Ace-King Wins For Albertini

Paul Tedeschi had the button.

Sergii Baranov raised to 52,000 from middle position and it folded around to Stephane Albertini in the big blind who called. The flop brought {K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Albertini checked. Baranov continued for 58,000 and Albertini called.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn and Albertini check-called a bet of 152,000. Both players checked the {7-Diamonds} river and Albertini showed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for top pair. Baranov showed {A-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a club-draw that did not get there and Albertini took down the pot.

Big Slick for Cheong

Joseph Cheong opened for 48,000 and received a call from Phil Hellmuth. Both players checked the {2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop, and then Cheong check-called a bet of 40,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. Both players returned to checking on the {8-Diamonds} river, and Cheong rolled over {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for ace-king high. It was good as Hellmuth simply mucked.
