No Second WSOPE Bracelet For Juanda

As you may remember, John Juanda won the WSOPE Main Event back in 2008. Unfortunately for the five time bracelet winner, a repeat victory will not be in the cards this year.

We caught up to find Juanda seeing a flop with Barbara Martinez and Eugene Katchalov. Katchalov fired 2,000 from the small blind and Martinez flat called. Juanda called as well and the turn came {9-Spades} .

Both players checked to Juanda and he bet 5,000. Katchalov got out of the way but Martinez decided to stick around.

The {3-Hearts} rivered and Martinez checked. Juanda shipped all in for just over 19,000 and Martinez went into the tank. The clock was called on her and eventually she announced a call.

"Bon App��tit," said Juanda as he flung his cards up, showing {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for a busted draw. Martinez showed {K-Spades} and her pair of tens eliminated Juanda from the tournament.
