Gierse Over Muehloecker in Huge Pot

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Thomas Muehloecker had what appeared to be a three-bet of 8,500 in front of him in early position. Marius Gierse had made it 22,000 in the cutoff and Muehloecker was considering his options. He eventually decided on a call and they saw a {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. Muehloecker check-called 22,000. He then checked the {3-Spades}. Gierse pounded down on the felt with a check that shook the table. The river was a {9-Spades} and Muehloecker bet 38,500.

Gierse took off his headphones and thought for about a minute before sliding in all of his chips. That would put Muehloecker to the test for his remaining 26,000 or so. Muehloecker lifted his cards and dropped them in the muck after 30 seconds or so.
