Hendriks Bursts the Bubble by Eliminating Viard
Alexandre Viard raised to 13,000 from mid-position and action folded to Melvin Hendriks in the big blind who three-bet to 30,000. Viard considered his options and decided to shove for 132,000 and Hendriks snap-called.
This was the only hand of the fourth round of hand-for-hand play to go to an all-in situation so they were up immediately once the other tables were done.
Everyone flocked to their table to see what was happening even though the floor would be announcing it all over the microphone.
Alexandre Viard,
Melvin Hendriks:
The flop came for them both to flop a pair of aces. Viard needed a four to stay alive as Hendriks had the bigger kicker.
The turn was the which meant Hendriks turned top two pair and Viard was drawing dead.
The river was the to complete the board as a formality and Viard was sent to the rail or to Day 1H to try his luck in there. The rest of the field all applauded as the floor announced that everyone else was now in the money for at least 802.
