Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho

Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho started the day as chip leader but had a brutal day in the 1,100 Monster Stack event. He got his last 700,000 in the middle with {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} against Mykhailo Gutyi his {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Duarte wasn't able to hit to stay alive in the tournament. His father started the day as the tournament short stack and was sent to the rail first and Duarte was eliminated right after his father.

Duarte cashes for 5,513.

Brockmann Doubles Into the Lead

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Henrik Brockmann raised to 110,000 in middle position and Mykhailo Gutyi called from the hijack. Timur Margolin also called from the big blind and the flop fell {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. Marholin checked to Brockmann who bet 150,000 and Gutyi folded. Margolin check-raised to 350,000 and Brockmann quickly announced all in for 1,710,000. Margolin called and the cards were on their backs.

Brockmann tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for two overcards and a flush draw while Margolin flopped two pair with {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Brockmann would need a diamond to stay alive. The river brought the {k-Diamonds} and Brockmann found himself a huge double up to take over the chip lead.

Henriquez Finds Big Double Up

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Raul Henriquez
Raul Henriquez

It all started with Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho who limped from the under the gun position. Tamas Szunyoghy limped as well and so did everyone at the table except for Timur Margolin. Big blind Mykhailo Gutyi checked his option and they went six-way to the flop.

The flop came down {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Spades} and it checked to Szunyoghy who bet 120,000. Sebastian Ulrich called the bet, but Raul Henriquez had different plans as he raised to 500,000. It folded back to Szunyoghy and he called. Ulrich folded.

The turn was the {J-Clubs} and Szunyoghy moved all in for effectively 845,000. Henriquez snap-called and both players tabled their hands.

Szunyoghy was holding {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for three of a kind, but he was well behind Henriquez with {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The river was the {10-Clubs} and the pot was sent to Henriquez who managed to secure a big double up.

Another Double Up for Szunyoghy

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Mykhailo Gutyi opened to 80,000 from middle position and Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho three-bet to 240,000 in the hijack. Tamas Szunyoghy four-bet to 605,000 from the cutoff and the action folded back to Duarte who shoved all in. Szunyoghy instantly called off his stack of 1,770,000 and the cards were tabled.

Tamas Szunyoghy: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

It was a cooler spot for Duarte who was in danger of doubling up Szunyoghy for the second time in a row. The board ran out {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Szunyoghy secured himself a huge double with pocket aces.

Luiz Ferreira Eliminated in 14th Place (5,513)

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Luiz Ferreira
Luiz Ferreira

Luiz Ferreira moved all in from the cutoff for about 600,000 and it was small blind Mario Llapi who moved all in as well for less than a million. The big blind folded and the two opened up their hands.

Luiz Ferreira: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Mario Llapi: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The flop was a very exciting {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts} as Llapi flopped a set, but Ferreira flopped a Broadway straight. The turn was the {K-Clubs} which gave Llapi a full house and the {K-Diamonds} was dealt as a courtesy.

Ferreira takes home 5,513 for his efforts and is the first one eliminated today. Ferreira's son now has to carry the torch for Brazil.

Duarte Doubles up Szunyoghy

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The action folded to Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho who limped in from the small blind. Tamas Szunyoghy shipped all in for 925,000 in the big blind and Duarte made the call to put him at risk.

Tamas Szunyoghy: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Szunyoghy was still in the lead with his pocket fours. The {k-Clubs} on the turn changed nothing and the {2-Hearts} on the river secured the double up for Szunyoghy.

With around 300,000 in the middle and the board reading {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Amar Begovic and Mario Llapi were heads-up in the hand. Llapi checked to Begovic on his left who bet 190,000. Lllapi called and the {2-Diamonds} completed the board.

Llapi checked again and Begovic splashed in bet of 380,000. Llapi instantly tossed in a single chip to signify a call and Begovic rolled over {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a set of sixes. Llapi sent his cards to the muck and Begovic was awarded the pot.

Gutyi Doubles Through Duarte

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Mykhailo Gutyi
Mykhailo Gutyi

There was about 700,000 in the middle with a flop reading {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{K-Hearts} when small blind Luiz Antonio Duarte Ferreira Filho checked to Mykhailo Gutyi. Gutyi checked behind to see the turn.

The turn card was the {5-Clubs} and Duarte checked another time. Gutyi put out a bet of 250,000 and Duarte called.

The {3-Hearts} river completed the board and Duarte checked again. Gutyi thought about as he counted the amount of 100,000 chips he still had. He moved all in and sent Duarte deep into the tank. After a couple minutes Duarte called and mucked his hand after he saw Gutyi open up {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.
