Hryhoriev Takes One, Loses One

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Mykhailo Hryhoriev raised to 250,000 from the cutoff and Renat Bohdanov defended his big blind. The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Bohdanov checked. Hryhoriev bet 250,000, countered by a check-raise from Bohdanov to 650,000.

Hryhoriev glanced at several other stacks at the table before moving all in, and Bohdanov instantly let it go.

Perhaps bolstered by the previous hand, the Ukranian subsequently three-bet a raise from Samuel Mika to 725,000, with the latter calling after two minutes of thought. The {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop got checked by both players. Mika bet 1,050,000 on the {8-Spades} turn, putting the stack of chips in the middle with a loud thump, and Hryhoriev flashed a {3-Spades} before mucking.

Better Kicker for Mosonyi

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Norbert Mosonyi raised on the button and Samuel Mika made the call in the small blind.

The flop brought {10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Mika check-called Mosonyi's continuation for 300,000. The {7-Diamonds} turn went check-check.

A {2-Spades} completed the board and Mika led out for 800,000. Mosonyi looked at his cards once more and made the call. Mika tabled {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a pair of queens but Mosonyi revealed {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} and took down the pot with a better kicker.

Rafi Elharar Eliminated in 7th Place (€6,651)

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Rafi Elharar
Rafi Elharar

Renat Bohdanov raised to 250,000 on the button and Rafi Elharar defended his big blind. The flop was {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and Elharar checked. Bohdanov bet 225,000, Elharar check-raised all in for around 850,000, and Bohdanov beat him into the pot with a call.

Rafi Elharar: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Renat Bohdanov: {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Elharar was in dire straights with the inferior kicker and neither the {2-Diamonds} turn nor {q-Diamonds} river saved his tournament life.

The Israeli, who finished 3rd in the Big 50 at this summer's WSOP for $534,574, the largest live poker tournament ever held, now had to settle for 7th place as he made his way off the stage.

Mika Gets a Fold from Bensimhon

Level 31 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

After a limp from Norbert Mosonyi, Samuel Mika raised to 305,000 from the cutoff. Eyal Bensimhon tanked for a minute and three-bet to 1,200,000. Mosonyi folded and Mika quickly announced all in. Bensimhon let it go.

Mika showed {a-}{j-} before adding the chips to his stack.

Jeff Lisandro Eliminated in 8th Place (€5,026)

Jeff Lisandro

Jeff Lisandro open-shoved under the gun for his last five blinds with a stack worth 520,000 and Samuel Mika opted to reshove behind. The rest of the players folded to create the following showdown:

Jeff Lisandro: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Samuel Mika: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Lisandro needed help if he was to survive but the {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board even improved Mika's hand into a set of queens. The Australian's attempt to win his seventh bracelet came up short and he left the final table in 8th place.

Ricardas Vymeris Eliminated in 9th Place (€3,853)

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ricardas Vymeris
Ricardas Vymeris

Left short after the previous hand, Ricardas Vymeris chucked his last scraps into the middle and Michal Kral put in the few extra chips from the big blind.

Ricardas Vymeris: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Michal Kral: {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}

It was all smooth sailing for Vymeris up until the river on {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, improving Kral's rags to a straight and making Vymeris the first player to bust at the final table.

Perfect Timing for Hryhoriev

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Mykhailo Hryhoriev
Mykhailo Hryhoriev

The final table started off with two all-ins from Samuel Mika and Jeff Lisandro, with the latter shoving the small blind for just 350,000. Mika folded the big blind to give Lisandro some much-needed chips.

Renat Bohdanov then raised to 210,000 from middle position and picked up the blinds. He raised again to 210,000 the next hand but met resistance as Ricardas Vymeris put in a three-bet to 530,000 from the small blind.

From the big blind, Mykhailo Hryhoriev four-bet shoved all in for 2,410,000 and Bohdanov quickly folded. Vymeris went deep in the tank before calling it off for nearly all of his remaining stack.

Mykhailo Hryhoriev: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Ricardas Vymeris: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Hearts} to keep Hryhoriev's aces in the lead, leaving Vymeris with crumbs.
